Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Hi, Stampers.  I am gearing up for a post Thanksgiving Stamp-a-Stack.  If you are unfamiliar with that term, it is where you gather and stamp about a dozen cards.  A pretty good stack, eh?  I thought I'd give you a little preview of the cards we will be making this weekend.  We will make 2 each of 6 designs.  Doesn't that sound like a lot of fun?  If you are in the OKC metro and would like to come, the info is on my website at tory.stampinup.net.  Now, on to the cards!

Well, that's it for now.  Until next time, remember, if I can stamp, you can, too!

What a cute idea, I like the marshmallows on the outside! Really cute. I know the receiver of this little gift will be warmed inside and out. Sure I'm in for some blog candy.

Patrice, please email me at tabray at sbcglobal dot net with your snail mail address and I'll get your candy in the mail to you ASAP!

I hope you all have a great week and a wonderfully thankful holiday.

SU Stars Holiday Blog Hop

Hello Stampers!  You may have just come from Amanda's blog, Stamp Vamps if you've been hopping from the beginning.  If not, you can start here and keep going.

I am have two projects to show you today.  They are very different from each other.  I hope you enjoy them both.  Let me know which one is your favorite and and you just might get some BLOG CANDY!  That's right!  On Sunday I will pick one of your comments at random and you could win a stamp set!  Just leave a comment by 5pm Sunday, Nov 21 and you could be the winner of the stamp set Picture This.  I will announce the winner no later than 7 am on Monday Nov 22.

Now on to the projects!

First up, a very vintage style Christmas card.
I started with a cardbase of Crumb Cake, added some Deck the Halls DSP and an image from Bells and Boughs that I water colored.  The sentiment is from the same set and is punched out with our new Designer Label Punch.  I sponged the edges of both of these pieces with both Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.  It still needed some dressing up, but what ribbon to us?.  I wasn't happy with any of them, so I took some of our 5/8 inch Satin Ribbon in Vanilla and sponged it with both Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.  I'm happy with how this card turned out, even though vintage is often a hard style for me.

My next project is much more contemporary.  It is a cute little cocoa packet that my upline, Connie Stewart, showed me how to make.
I started off with a Whisper White envelope that I sealed and cut off one end.  I stamped the large portion all over with Baja Breeze ink and the snowflake stamps from our Northern Hearts level 1 Hostess set.  I sponged the little piece all over with Baja Breeze.  I then stamped the snowman image from our Tags Till Christmas set on some Whisper White and punched it out with the Scalloped Circle Punch.  Don't you just love punches?  I ran the envelope through my crimper, added a packet of cocoa, put the little end back on and attached the snowman image.  Then I tied a bow out of the Whisper White organza ribbon, one of my favorites!  Now, what is hot cocoa with out some marshmallows?  I tucked a few mini marshmallows into a test tube, cut a small slit in the side of my envelope and tied it on with another length of organza ribbon.  Isn't it darling?

That's all for me.  Now off you go to visit Loni at Loni's Life.  She's sure to have some more fabulous Christmas goodies!
