Razzleberry Elements

Here is a simple card I made using the Elements of Style. It was so easy since it is monochromatic. I sent this card out as a RAK (random act of kindness).

Accessories: Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Champagne shimmer mist

It is hard to see the simmer in this picture, but if you click on the image it will enlarge and you should get a better idea of how pretty it is IRL. So shimmery!

Tropical Invitation

Hi, Stampers! I know! I know! I haven't posted much lately. Life has been busy. End of school, sport practice, new job, anniversaries, and the list goes on.

Anyhow- last Saturday I had a workshop and this is what we made. It's a cute little pocket card invitation. I used the cute little coconut drink image from the Tropical Party stamp set.

The cardstock colors are Very Vanilla, Brilliant Blue (bye bye Brilliant Blue) and Bashful Blue. The ink colors are Brilliant Blue and Basic Brown (bye bye Basic Brown). I also used the Brilliant Blue Stampin' Write Marker and some Very Vanilla satin ribbon, some hemp twine and the scalloped circle punch.

In case you didn't know, the bye bye's were because Stampin' Up! is having a color renovation in July. Many colors are retiring to make room for a fresh updated pallet to choose from.

A week late, but hopefully not a dollar short!

Hi, Stampers! I know I haven't been as diligent posting on my blog as I should be. Life has been hectic. I have applied for a new position at my workplace, we have had major storms here in OK, and life in general has been busy!

Anyhow, I'm hoping to get back into the routine of things. Thanks for being patient with me.

The first card here is a graduation card for my nephew. He is now finished with high school and entering the world of adulthood! What an exciting time. I wish him the best in his new adventure!

This next card is for my cousin's birthday. We are all meeting tomorrow at a local Chinese restaurant for a surprise birthday party for her! She hasn't ever had a birthday party so I'll be she will really be surprised! Her brothers and sister will be there and her children and grandchildren, my parents (her's have gone on) and my sister and me. I bet we have a great time.

I'm baaaa-aaack!

Well the craft fair is behind me now. It was a lot of fun and I met some really great people! I even cleared a few dollars. Woo hoo! Now I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things and keep you folks entertained at least once a week.

Here's a little card I came up with after looking at Stamping 411's sketch challenge for this Saturday. I'm not sure I'm totally happy with the colors, but the Bermuda Bay looks so tropical and water-like and the Sahara Sand looks like, well, sand. LOL I'm just not sure about the Old Olive. The Pumpkin Pie is OK, but maybe too dark on top of the Bermuda Bay. I really wanted the palm trees from the new Island Oasis DSP from the summer mini.

It is also one of the things my gals will be making next weekend. We usually meet on the afternoon of the 2nd Sunday, but since it is Mother's Day, we are meeting on Saturday morning. More Craft Fair Projects

I know I've been pretty quiet lately, which my DH would tell you is unusual, but I've been busy! Here are some projects that are ready to go to the craft fair. I bet you guys will be happy when that is over. I'm starting to feel that way, too! Free time?!? No! Getting ready for the craft fair. It will so be worth it, though! I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made. See?

The scratch pad holder is from Connie Stewart. She made a great template for it. I topped it with a rose made from the Ornament Punch. The DSP and color are retired, but will be returning in July!

The other picture is my beautiful bouquet of bookmark/paper clips. Aren't they purty! The displays they are on are simply a pop corn box and a pop tart box covered in DSP with a center divider made of cardstock.

Here is the bonus project we did on Sunday afternoon in Stampin' Club. I decided we needed to monkey around while we still could. This adorable little gift card holder was totally cased from Patti Chesky who has an awesome video tutorial for it on her blog here. I, of course changed colors and stamp sets since hers was for Christmas. I thought it turned out really cute and the ladies loved it. If you love it, especially that ornery little monkey, you'd better get the stamp set Fox and Friends soon! It is only available through the end of this month and then it will be gone forever. Here's another project I've been working on. It's those cute pansies made from the butterfly punch that I've seen popping up all over web-land.
I thought they needed a nice flower pot home, so I put them into a flowerpot card. What a great idea for a Mother's Day card. It's right around the corner, so it isn't too early to think about getting those cards ready! I'm sure it would made a great graduation card, too.

I'm still here

Sorry I've been away so long. I've really been busy getting ready for the craft fair I'm participating in at the end of this month. Of course everything is taking much longer than I anticipated. Enough of that!

I'm here to show you what we will be making in my club meeting on Sunday afternoon.

An easel card with Vintage Vogue in our lovely Rich Razzleberry and an altered memo book covered with colored Bride DSP. There will also be a bonus project that I have not yet designed as I was waiting for the Man in Brown. He finally came last night, so I have to get busy this evening and get that one done!! Box O'Cards for SSC143 and LNS Challenge 62

As most of you have heard, I am trying to get ready for a craft fair. I also wanted to be able to play along in a couple of challenges. I managed to combing two challenges with a project perfect for the craft fair! I made a box of all occasion cards. It was fun. I hope you like them, too. There are four cards and an adorable box. I tried to get a good picture of the front and the side of the box so you could see it. I think it still needs some additional embellishments, but I'm not just sure what. What do you think? Should it say "Cards?" Should it have butterflies?

I guess I forgot to give some info on the project. I used the bold bright cardstock along with whisper white, Happy Moments stamp set (free with a $50 purchase-ask me how) and our great Stampin' Write Markers to color the images. The flowers were made with tissue paper stamped in Pixie Pink with the Fine Flourish stamp and it is all tied up with white organza ribbon.

Craft Fair Fare

Good morning, Stampers. I hope you have had a great week. I have. I was home yesterday, so I worked on more projects for a craft fair I have coming up next month. Want to see?

First up is one of the cards I made for a 4 pack of note cards. I thought they turned out cute. I like the clean look as well as the springy feel they have. I don't know why I waited so long to get that stamp set!

Fine Butterfly Birthday

Hello, Stampers. I hope you have been having a great week. I have another birthday card to show you. Sorry it's not the best picture. We all know that a photographer I am not.... Anyhow- I have fallen in love with the Fine Flourish stamp and the kissing technique.

Coworkers birthday card

I have couple more co-workers with birthdays this month, so I have been working on cards for them. I finished one tonight and I'm pleased with how it turned out. It also fits the weekly challenge over at Late Night Stampers, my yahoo group. The challenge was to use "bling." If you can't tell, you can click the picture to make it larger and so you can see that I spritzed the pink cardstock with shimmer mist made from shimmer paint and alcohol. It's really pretty and shimmery IRL.

Hello, stampers. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I had a busy but good weekend. I have several cards to show you. Some fun, and some not so fun to make. Let's start with a more fun one.

A couple of the ladies on my Yahoo group, Late Night Stampers (for more information on this group, click the owl on my side bar) asked for some of us to send cards to friends that needed a pick-me-up. this first one is a "thoughts and prayers" kind of card. This next one is a birthday card for another lady that needs a pick-me-up. I thought a bright cheery card might do the trick. This one makes me smile every time I look at it.

The next 2 cards are sympathy cards for one of my friends at work and her sister. Their grandmother passed away, and my friends sister was raised by the grandmother, so even though I haven't yet met her, I thought I should make her a card. I decided to make them similar but different. They both use the same cardstock, stamp set and ink, but different ribbon and layout.

I also took a card to work for my boss' birthday this past week, but you have already seen it here. That is 7 of the 30 items I am doing this month.

Next is to make a surprise for the charter meeting of my monthly stamping club. I hope they like it! I'm not telling what it is because some of them read this blog... New space for creating

Hi, stampers. I have been trying to organize my new stamping area. It's not huge, but it's all mine!

I have a large and a small storage cabinet, punch storage (yes it is a dollar store curtain rod), and some great basket drawers to hold my big shot dies. There's even a nice wooden top on the basket drawers for the Big Shot itself. Oh! And some cardstock storage. I didn't take a full picture of my personal crafting space because my table was a big mess just like it is most of the time. Of course, I always say that a clean work area is a sign of a non-productive stamper. If only the messy space meant I'd been productive!!!

The other thing I haven't finished is putting my butterflies on the walls. I have a few on the tall cabinet, but the rest are waiting for me to get them scattered around the room. I love butterflies and I love red. What could be better than a stamping room with red butterflies? Well, maybe a stamping room with red butterflies and a table! I still have to find one of those, too. Always something! LOL

I'm trying to get it all set up so it will be ready for my first club meeting on the 14th. I'm so excited! I haven't seen some of these ladies in several months. It will be great to get together to stamp again!

I will try to have a project to post for you in the next few days. The list mom on my yahoo group (Late Night Stampers) gave us a challenge to serve 30 people in March. I'm going to try to send out more cards. I've sent 3 birthday cards and two sympathy cards and I have a couple of special cards I need to get ready and mailed.

I still have half of a busy weekend ahead of me. Today was a meeting with my upline, her upline, HER upline and all the connected demos. It was a lot of fun. We visited, learned, ate, laughed, and stamped. Then I was off to get my hair cut. It had been driving me crazy for a couple of weeks and I'd had enough! Then I had just a few errands to run before I got to head home.

I guess I should start on my chores so they aren't all waiting for me tomorrow afternoon! Until next time, remember, if I can stamp, you can, too!

Birthday cards for two

Hello again, Stampers. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I was WAY too busy. But then, that's how most weekends go. LOL

Here are a couple of birthday cards I made last week. One is for my dad and on is for DS3. Can you guess which one is for who?

This top one is simply Not Quite Nave and White Frost Shimmer Paint with a punch of Whisper White. I thought it turned out really pretty. The sentiment in the center is Not Quite Navy and then I daubed over it with the shimmer paint.

Stamp sets used were Medallion background stamp and Vintage Labels (FREE SAB ITEM)

This cute little monkey card was a lot of fun.

A sweet spring card

One of my co-workers has decided to leave us for another department in our organization, and this is the card she will get tomorrow. I know purple is her favorite, so that's what I worked around. I stamped some flowers, added a few die cut butterflies, a scallop border and a sentiment.

Everyone is bringing finger foods for her last day, too. I think it will be a lot of fun. We'll miss her even if she is just going upstairs.

More Craft Fair Items

Hello Stamper Friends! I hope you had a wonderful Monday. Mine was not too bad. I guess the long weekend did me good! I did get quite a bit of organizing and stamping/creating done. I'm trying to get ready for a spring craft fair on April 30.

Here are my latest creations. I found some picture frames at the dollar store and thought they'd be fun to dress up. I did this pretty pink one first and like it so much, I wished the DSP was current so I could enter it into the challenge over at Late Night Stampers. It was all about punches last week. Anyway, I ended up making another out of current Stampin' Up! products as that is the rule over there. All current Stampin' Up! products only.

This lovely pink one uses last years Raspberry Tart paper. I think it is sooooo pretty. I guess you can see I'm still on a paper flower kick. hee hee! These are made out of vellum and sponged with Regal Rose ink






This second one is covered in our ever lovely Cottage Walls DSP. I added more vellum flowers sponged in Rich Razzleberry. The phrase is from the Razzle Dazzle stamp set. I thought it turned out pretty, too, even if I did shabby it up a bit. I found an old picture of my 2 oldest boys. Look, the little one has on daddy's shoes and socks! LOL Of course they are both grown now, but it was a fun trip down memory lane just so one of the frames had a picture in it.

I know, I know. Some days I'm too silly for words! Oh well, at least I have fun! That's it for tonight. I hope you guys have a great week! I know I will be glad when it's stamping time again. Finished at last!

Hi, Stampers! I know I promised I would share the project I teased you with on this post. I finally finished it. Here it is in part of it's glory. I am only showing a couple of the letters, but it's enough for you to get the idea. I hope you like it as much as DD did! She even re-arranged her wall decorations to give it a place of honor!

Fun Paper Flowers

I saw some great flowers done by another Stampin' Up demo, Lee Conrey and they were beautiful. She said she used an old cookbook. Well I like my old cookbooks, so I used a magazine and a PHONE BOOK!!! How green is that?!? Seems like I get a new phonebook on my porch every few weeks. They were really stacking up, but now I can turn them into beautiful flowers! All it takes is a Scallop Circle punch from Stampin' Up!, a little ink, a Stampin' Sponge, and a brad. Voila! A flower as pretty as can be!
