Playing with leftovers

No, I don't mean playing with your food.  I meant playing with left over pieces from my project for a shoebox swap I am participating in this weekend!  What is a shoebox swap, you wonder.  Well, it is where a group a stampers each create a project, prep the materials and put it all in a shoebox to carry to the location where they all gather.  The shoeboxes are then passed around and everyone makes one of the projects.  If that sounds like fun to you, you need to contact me right away about joining my Stampin' Up! team!  We do all kinds of fun things like that.

Oh!  Some of you want to see what I did with my leftovers!  I had some Top Note die cuts left so I played with them and came up with this.
cardstock: Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Concord Crush
hmm...no ink
accessories:  Daffodil Delight 1/8" taffeta ribbon, pearls

I got some of the new pearl accents and they are so pretty.  You get 50 each of 3 sized and 3 strips of connected pearls to make spacing a non-issue.  that is what I used around the bottom right edge of the Top Note,  If you can't see it very well, just click on the picture to make it bigger.

I hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it!  If you'd like to learn how to make beautiful cards and gifts yourself, I'd be glad to show you and your friends just how easy (and FUN) it is!  Give me a call or send me an email.  At least leave me a comment.  I'd love to hear from you!  Remember, if I can stamp, you can, too!

You should have been here!!!

We sure did have fun yesterday! I wish you could have been here. We stamped and visited and laughed. I just never did get this card where I was totally happy with it. Oh well, sometimes it just goes that way. At least the ladies liked it! It features 2 of our new In Colors, Pear Pizazz and Peach Parfait and Baja Breeze as well as the new clearlits! It is a fun design with the little "gift bag" on the front. I was inspired by a project my upline was working on.

The next project here uses our new Early Espresso and "new" Crumb Cake. It really is yummy! That is our new 1/8th inch taffeta ribbon in Early Espresso. It is to die for. I touched the edges of some of the flowers with the new Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. It was a lot of fun to use!
This little item was my favorite. It uses more new colors! Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, and Marina Mist. It also uses the Hostess Level 2 Set called Punch Posies. What a lot of fun it is to play
with!!! Those little circles in the bag are peppermint patties that we decorated. What a yummy little gift to give someone!
Well I hope you had fun looking. Come stamp with us next month! We meet on the 2nd Sunday each month and we have a blast! Remember, if I can stamp, you can, too!

Pretty Paper

Hi, again stampers! Here is on of the other projects we made in my June stamp club. We have so much fun! If you are in the OKC metro and would like to join, just drop me a line. We'd love to have you. You can even "try it before you buy it" if you want to come one month to see if it's something you'd enjoy.
Back to the project. Once again I have retired cardstock since we did this in June. This technique is called polished stone (the background for the daisies) and we used reinkers to do it. Then we stamped the image from Upsy Daisy, added a mat of Perfect Plum and a little eyelet border of whisper white. The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Watercolor Trio. You can click on the picture to enlarge it. I hope you like it. Let me know. Everyone likes to hear sweet words of encouragment.
Well, that's all for today. Keep in mind that if I can stamp, you can, too. And don't forget to leave me a comment! :)

Happy Birthday USA!

Happy 4th of July, Stampers! I know I've been MIA. I started a new day job and I have been pooped out after training all day. Hopefully, I am now all trained at work and can get back to what I love to do in my "off" time. Can you guess what that might be?LOL!
Do you have big plans for today or this evening? We are having BBQ and then going to watch fireworks at the local park. I sure hope it doesn't rain!
Here are some cute little table favors we made in stamp club last month. I kept these very simple do to time limits, but you could decorate it any way you wanted. I have some retired items on this one as it was made before the new catalog came out. The cute mini milk carton is Real Red and the flower is white tissue paper, the belly band and ribbon are now retired.
Have you seen the new catalog?!? If not, click on the picture of it in my sidebar. If you see something you can't live without, or even if you just want it...you can order from my website 24 hours a day! Just go to tory.stampinup.net and place your order.
Until next time, remember, if I can stamp, you can, too!
