Paisley Petals

Is this not some gorgeous paper?!?  It is so pretty that I didn't want to cover it up!  This is the new Paisley Petals DSP that is available for the month of April with a $20 order.  You can also purchase the stamp set used here.  It is called Four Frames.  These items will be available for purchase (after a $20 purchase) in April. 

This is the card we will be making in our class on Sunday afternoon (April 17).  I'll have the rest of the paper from the pack available for you to see. 

I know it is hard to tell from this photo, but I have paired this paper with Bravo Burgundy for this card.  The only embellishment is a strip of white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.  Of course I had to use the Decorative Label punch to punch out my stamp and then I adhered it with Stampin' dimensionals.

September Stamp Club Project

Yes, this month we are only having one project, but it's sure to be a favorite.  We are going to be making a mini accordion scrapbook.  You will have your choice of several selections of Christmas themed Designer Series Paper to choose for your cover.

Here is a picture of the scrapbook closed.  I think this one turned out pretty with out a lot of embellishment.  You could decorate it up however you like, though.  The ribbon tie is long enough to open the book so that it is fully extended.

I haven't decorated the inside yet either.  These would make great Christmas gifts.  Change the DSP and they would also make wonderful gifts for weddings, new babies, birthdays and Mother's Day.

If you aren't currently one of my Stamping Club members, we'd love for you to join us.  We're just starting a new round in September.  We meet once a month and generally make 2 or 3 projects.  Each person commits to ordering $25 in Stampin' Up! merchandise each month for 6 months and each person gets a turn to be the hostess and earn all the great hostess rewards.  It's a lot of fun and a great way to build your stamping and scrapbooking supplies on a budget.  If you're interested, send me an email or give me a call.  I'd be glad to visit with you about Stamp Club.

August projects

First up is a 6X6 scrapbook page.  I know this is something different for us, but it was really a lot of fun.  Try it, you might like it.

Next we have a matchbox with a sparkly vellum slide cover and some gorgeous DSP wrapped chocolates!  MMMM, what could be better?

And finally a refreshing card made with the hostess set, Because I Care.  This one is one of my favorites.  I thought a simple card in Pear Pizzaz and Whisper White with just a touch of Blushing Bride.

Yes, I noticed that I was on a green and blue kick this month.  It just seemed to work out that way and I'm please with all the projects.  I hope you like them, too.  If you'd like to join us and are in the OKC Metro area, send me an email or give me a call.  I'd love to stamp with you!

We sure did have fun yesterday! I wish you could have been here. We stamped and visited and laughed. I just never did get this card where I was totally happy with it. Oh well, sometimes it just goes that way. At least the ladies liked it! It features 2 of our new In Colors, Pear Pizazz and Peach Parfait and Baja Breeze as well as the new clearlits! It is a fun design with the little "gift bag" on the front. I was inspired by a project my upline was working on.

The next project here uses our new Early Espresso and "new" Crumb Cake. It really is yummy! That is our new 1/8th inch taffeta ribbon in Early Espresso. It is to die for. I touched the edges of some of the flowers with the new Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. It was a lot of fun to use!

This little item was my favorite. It uses more new colors! Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, and Marina Mist. It also uses the Hostess Level 2 Set called Punch Posies. What a lot of fun it is to play

with!!! Those little circles in the bag are peppermint patties that we decorated. What a yummy little gift to give someone!

I'm still here

Sorry I've been away so long. I've really been busy getting ready for the craft fair I'm participating in at the end of this month. Of course everything is taking much longer than I anticipated. Enough of that!

I'm here to show you what we will be making in my club meeting on Sunday afternoon.

An easel card with Vintage Vogue in our lovely Rich Razzleberry and an altered memo book covered with colored Bride DSP. There will also be a bonus project that I have not yet designed as I was waiting for the Man in Brown. He finally came last night, so I have to get busy this evening and get that one done!! Cards, cards and more cards

Hello, stampers. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I had a busy but good weekend. I have several cards to show you. Some fun, and some not so fun to make. Let's start with a more fun one.

A couple of the ladies on my Yahoo group, Late Night Stampers (for more information on this group, click the owl on my side bar) asked for some of us to send cards to friends that needed a pick-me-up. this first one is a "thoughts and prayers" kind of card. This next one is a birthday card for another lady that needs a pick-me-up. I thought a bright cheery card might do the trick. This one makes me smile every time I look at it.

The next 2 cards are sympathy cards for one of my friends at work and her sister. Their grandmother passed away, and my friends sister was raised by the grandmother, so even though I haven't yet met her, I thought I should make her a card. I decided to make them similar but different. They both use the same cardstock, stamp set and ink, but different ribbon and layout.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Dusty Durango, Garden Green

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Basic Brown

Stamp set: Three Little Words

Ribbon: Very Vanilla satin ribbon/Always Artichoke 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon

I also took a card to work for my boss' birthday this past week, but you have already seen it here. That is 7 of the 30 items I am doing this month.

Next is to make a surprise for the charter meeting of my monthly stamping club. I hope they like it! I'm not telling what it is because some of them read this blog... So...if you'd like to find out first hand what this surprise is and you are in the OKC metro area, I still have a couple of spaces available in my club. Email me and let me know you are interested! You get to make (on average) 3 projects and get a written instruction sheet for them for you to keep, AND you get the hostess benefits one month out of 6. March Club Projects

I will tell you that I have spring on the brain AND I've been stuck in a yellow/pink mode for the past week or so. I'm trying to break out of that, but I'm still thinking spring!


This sweet little matchbox was cut with the Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! Matchbox Die. It was quick and easy!
